Ikke alle danske jazz-musikere med basis i New York er lige højtprofilerede i den hjemlige andedam, og jeg indrømmer da gerne, at jeg ikke kendte navnet Stephan Kammerer. Det gør jeg nu. Kammerer har nemlig sammen med tre dygtige kolleger udsendt cd'en "Krackedlenz Project" der byder på ti gedigne jazzkompositioner af meget høj kvalitet. Steve Elliot, guitar, Matt Clohesy, bass, og Brian Wolfe, trommer, er Kammerers bandmedlemmer og medkomponister på denne varmt svingende og dynamiske cd.<br />
Stephan Kammerer har studeret saxofon på Berklee College i Boston og har haft en mangfoldig koncertvirksomhed med New York som fast base siden 2001. Kammerers saxofon - og Elliots guitar - er en oplevelse, men som jazz-fan ikke bør lade sig gå forbi.]]></description>

<title>Stephan Kammerer Quartet at Jazz At The Lincoln Center</title>

<description><![CDATA[<b>06.21.08</b><br>On June 17th 2008 the SKQ performed in tribute of Bill Holman at the ASCAP JAZZ WALL OF FAME AT JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER EVENT.<br />
<br />
The event was highlighted by the induction of three Jazz Living Legends: bassist Ron Carter, composer-arranger and saxophonist Bill Holman, and tenor saxophonist Sonny Rollins. The latest group of inductees also included three posthumous honorees: trumpeter Bunny Berigan, drummer Art Blakey, and arranger/composer/pianist Tadd Dameron.  Participating in the event as presenters and/or performers were Kenny Washington, Vanessa Rubin, Javon Jackson, Stephan Kammerer, Randy Sandke, Jay Leonhart, Jim Rotondi, Peter Washington, Russell Malone and Stephen Scott. <br />

In addition, critically acclaimed pianist /composer Gonzalo Rubalcaba was presented with The ASCAP Foundation Vanguard Award for his innovative musical activity as a pianist and composer in the field of Jazz.]]></description>
